Any comments or suggestions are welcome and should be directed to him. He is helped by up to 10 other members of the practice staff including receptionists and secretaries.
They deal with appointments, repeat prescriptions, results, booking of transport and general enquiries. We ensure that the confidentiality of patients' records is maintained to the highest level by all staff.

Receptionists:

All of our receptionists work part time and have been trained within the surgery in reception and administration work. Anything you tell a receptionist will be treated in absolute confidence.

Medical Secretary:

The medical secretary works Monday to Wednesday until 4.00pm. Her role includes typing of referral letters, managing the large amount of insurance company requests as well as all sorts of administration forms that come in from the patients.

Phlebotomist:

We have an in-house phlebotomist, supplied by the Surrey Primary Care Trust, who attends the surgery on a Monday morning to take bloods from our patients.

The Primary Health Care Team

This includes the usual staff at the surgery plus district nurses, health visitors, midwives, CPNs, social services, shared care and school nurses. The teams meet regularly and pool their expertise and advise/help each other with cases. Full patient confidentiality is always observed.

Health Visitor:

Our health visitors are specially trained nurses who have a particular interest in the 0 to 19 year olds. They run regular baby clinics and are based at Molesey Clinic.
The health visitor can be contacted by telephone on 020 8979 6464.

District Nurses:

The district nurses are available to give nursing care to patients in their own home and work closely with the GPs. They are based at Cobham and can be contacted by telephone on 01932 863 252. If they are out on their rounds a message can be left with the receptionists or on their answerphone.

Community Midwives:

The community midwives help look after woman before and after giving birth. They hold regular clinics and expectant mothers usually see the midwife and the doctor on alternate visits. Your doctor will arrange this for you.
