General Information

Accidents and emergencies

If you are confronted by a serious problem such as severe chest pain or severe bleeding call an ambulance (telephone 999) before calling the surgery.

Disabled access:

Littleton surgery is fully accessible to wheelchair users and the disabled and we provide a disabled toilet. There is easily accessible parking in the car park (off Claremont Lane). When you telephone to make an appointment could you make it known that you are disabled as we can then arrange for your consultation to take place on the ground floor.

Telephone Advice:

Sometimes it is more appropriate to telephone for advice rather than make an appointment. Please telephone between 11.30am and 12 noon to speak to your doctor or the nurse. If the lines are engaged or you have been kept waiting, please be patient.

Home Visits:

Home visits are for patients who are too unwell to visit the surgery. If you require a home visit please telephone 01372 462235 before 10.30am and be prepared to give the receptionist as much information as possible. This allows the doctors to plan their rounds most efficiently and to allocate priority. If you can get to the surgery please do so, as up to four patients can be seen in the time it takes to do a home visit.
Calls for emergency home visits can be requested by telephoning 01372 462235.

Laboratory and test results:

All specimens for testing must be brought to the surgery before 11.00am.
For blood or specimen results, please telephone the surgery seven working days later after 2.00pm, Monday to Friday.
