Surgery Clinics
Non NHS Examinations
The doctors are happy to carry out medicals, e.g. for insurance or employment. Please make an appointment through reception letting the staff know what it is for. Please remember that these are private examinations and a charge will be made to the insurance company, employer or patient.
Insurance claims, doctor/nurse signatures on forms, letters to a third party are not part of the doctors NHS Terms of Services. The doctors do however undertake this service and there is a charge for which the receptionist will advise you. A scale of charges is also displayed in the waiting room. The doctors receive many requests for this type of service and it is practice policy that the registered doctor fills out these forms so if they are away on annual leave, there will be a longer turn-around time.
Cervical Smears
The practice nurses carry these out and we operate a three yearly reminder system. Please make an appointment when you receive the reminder and let the reception staff know it is for cervical smear.
Antenatal Care
Both doctors undertake antenatal care in conjunction with the community midwives and hospital consultants. Appointments should be made during normal surgery hours.
Asthma and Diabetes Care
The practise nurse runs regular assessments and reviews for these conditions, in conjunction with the doctors. Please make an appointment through reception. Vaccinations and Immunisations:
The practice nurse will conduct baby and childhood immunisations on any day, Monday to Friday for which you will receive a reminder through the post, to make an appointment.
